Stefan De bod takes south african itt title

Stefan De Bod secured our first victory as a team at the South African National Time Trial Championships in in Midvaal, conquering the 44 km course in 50’02”, with an eye-wateringly fast 52.7 kph average speed. Byron Munton finished second overall, just 14” down on De Bod, for our first ever 1-2 finish.

“It was important for us to bring the jersey to the team, whether it was Byron or me. In the end, it was close between us. To finish 1-2 is great for us, we’re very happy with the win!,” De Bod explained at the finish.

The first outing for the South African ITT Champion’s jersey will be on the second stage of the UAE Tour in just under two weeks, on a 12 km course starting and finishing in Al Hudayriat Island.
